1. Purpose
This policy outlines the delivery conditions, site requirements, safety obligations, and responsibilities associated with brick, block, and masonry product deliveries arranged by BrickBlock.
2. Delivery Hours
Standard delivery hours are generally between:
Monday to Friday 7:00am – 5:00pm
Delivery times are estimates only and may vary due to traffic, weather, supplier schedules, site conditions, or operational delays.
Customers must provide:
- Full delivery address
- Nearest cross street
- Site contact name and mobile number
- Delivery instructions
- Requested unload location
- Truck type requirements (if applicable)
- Access restrictions or special site conditions
Failure to provide accurate information may result in delays, failed deliveries, or additional charges.
4. Site Access Requirements
Customers must ensure:
- Safe and legal truck access
- Adequate turning and unloading space
- Clear access free from obstructions
- Stable and trafficable ground conditions
- Suitable forklift access where forklift delivery is requested
BrickBlock delivery vehicles are large commercial vehicles and may require substantial clearance for manoeuvring and unloading.
5. Forklift & Crane Deliveries
Forklift deliveries require:
- Firm, level ground
- Sufficient operating clearance
- Safe access paths
Forklifts are not all-terrain vehicles and cannot operate safely on:
- Mud
- Soft ground
- Excessive slopes
- Unstable surfaces
Crane deliveries require:
- Stable setup area
- Clear overhead conditions
- Compliance with powerline clearance regulations
6. Safety & Delivery Refusal
Safety is the highest priority.
Drivers may refuse, delay, or modify deliveries where:
- Site access is unsafe
- Ground conditions are unsuitable
- Traffic conditions create risk
- Overhead hazards exist
- Weather conditions impact safe operation
- The unloading location cannot be safely accessed
Driver decisions relating to safety are final.
7. Customer Responsibilities
The customer is responsible for:
- Site readiness
- Traffic management where required
- Cleaning mud or debris caused by the site
- Providing safe unloading conditions
- Ensuring sufficient space for product placement
BrickBlock is not responsible for:
- Damage caused by unsuitable site conditions
- Delays caused by restricted access
- Council permits or approvals unless agreed otherwise
8. Product Placement
Drivers will make reasonable efforts to place products in the requested location where safe and practical.
BrickBlock does not guarantee:
- Exact placement locations
- Multi-storey lifting
- Placement beyond accessible areas
Products will generally only be stacked one pack high unless otherwise authorised.
9. Additional Charges
Additional charges may apply for:
- Re-deliveries
- Waiting time/demurrage
- Site relocations
- Restricted access
- Failed deliveries
- Small-load deliveries
- Traffic control delays
- Excessive unloading times
10. Pallet Collection
Pallet collection requests must ensure:
- Empty pallets only
- Pallets stacked safely in one accessible location
- No mixed pallet types
- Safe and unobstructed access
Collections may be refused where access is unsafe or obstructed.
11. Limitation of Liability
BrickBlock accepts no liability for:
- Delivery delays outside reasonable control
- Site damage caused by unsafe or unsuitable access
- Customer-provided delivery instructions
- Failed deliveries resulting from inaccurate information
